Parties in the fray

Each party's declared face, manifesto and promises, and good and weak points that members add with sources.

The parties will be listed when the ECI publishes the list of contesting candidates.

Good and weak points come from members, with sources, and every party gets the same card. LokSense does not endorse or rate any party or candidate.

Candidates

Everyone nominated, with what they declared in their affidavit (Form 26) to the Election Commission: past offices, education, assets, liabilities and criminal cases.

Nominations have not opened yet. When they close, each candidate's declared facts will appear here, from their affidavit on the Election Commission's portal.

ECI affidavit portal

As declared by each candidate in their affidavit to the Election Commission of India. A pending case is a charge, not a conviction: everyone is presumed innocent until a court decides. Check the affidavit itself for the details.

About these dates

  • Election Commission of India — Terms of the Houses
  • Later elections are projected about five years on. A House can be dissolved early, and simultaneous elections (the Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-Ninth Amendment) Bill, 2024) would change the dates.
  • Seat numbers are the current ones. A delimitation after the next Census can change them, and one-third of seats in the Lok Sabha and the Assemblies will then be reserved for women (Constitution (One Hundred and Sixth Amendment) Act, 2023).
  • Starter issues were drafted by the admin from public reporting and official sources, with AI help, and contain no invented figures. Vote, add what is missing, or suggest a correction.
